In 2nd grade we continue with parts of a sentence and reading Trouble at the Sandbox. We are also still focusing on communities and wrapping up on learning about plants; and in efforts to grow in our faith, we are learning about the Liturgical year.  Check out the planbook for further information

In 3rd grade we are taking our first MAP test of the year in both reading and language arts and continue to read The Case of the Gasping Garbage; and as growing disciples we discuss how Jesus teaches us about God's love. Check out the planbook for further information

*Parents please make sure you are checking your child's behavior chart every night and initialing.

**MAP Testing continues tomorrow, please make sure to have breakfast as some students were complaining about belly aches during the test due to hunger.

REMINDERS

*Please make sure to check Ms. Wong's Blog daily as she is your child's math teacher; her homework assignments and any reminders for the class are posted on her blog.

*Early drop-off is at 7:00 AM in the lunchroom, where they are welcomed to sit and enjoy a hearty breakfast; children will be prompted to come upstairs to class no earlier than 7:45 AM 

*There still a few forms and emergency cards missing, please get them to me by Tuesday 9/18

*2nd grade students have gym on Mondays and Thursdays, so please be sure that your child is in full GYM uniform to participate.

*MAP testing will begin this week; reminder that student's scores do not go on their record. Instead they serve as a guide to us teachers that allow us to see your child's academic growth and where your child will need the most help in ELA and Mathematics.

*Monday 9/17 is half a day; dismissal will be @ 12 noon sharp. If needed, the after school program is in session.

First Full Week of School! 9/10 - 9/14

*Please sign and return all forms and both emergency cards to me no later than Wednesday 9/12

*All school supplies MUST be in by this week as we are in full swing and students must be prepared for class. 

*2nd grade students have gym on Mondays and Thursdays, so please be sure that your child is in full GYM uniform to participate. 

*I will be teaching sacramental classes on Thursday and Friday afternoons from 3:15-4:00 PM. If you wish to register your child for the program, please stop by the office and do so. Reminder to parents that students who enroll into the program must attend Mass every Sunday strictly in our parish at 1:00 PM, parents are encouraged to attend with their child.

     *Sacramental Program forms were sent home today, please read it carefully. If you
      wish to enroll your child please fill it out, sign and return; if you do not wish to enroll
      your child please fill it out & write N/A next to your child’s name, sign and return.
      ALL parents are to return the form.
