REMINDERS 2nd GRADE HOMEROOM
**Please remind children of classroom and school rules**

Image result for NWEA MAP skillsMAP Skills is an online program that should be used daily by students to help them master those skills of difficulties. Alongside Front Row and Khan Academy, MAP Skills should be used for a minimum of 20 minutes per day. This will also help prepare your child for NYS Testing.
  • March 12: Early Dismissal is at 12 noon sharp; after school is in session if needed
  • March 15 & 16: Second grade will be having their test selection tests for both texts Theodore Roosevelt: The Adventurers President & Marching with Aunt Susan; both texts can be accessed on Pearson if parents wish to reread with their children.
  • March 16: Green Day; students may wear something green in honor of St. Patrick’s Day
  • March 22: School will be closed in compliance with an Active Shooter Training that faculty will attend

2nd Grade
Monday 3/12:
- Log onto MAP Skills and complete missions for Reading, Vocabulary and Language Usage; due Wednesday 3/13
Tuesday 3/13:
- Study for social studies ch. 6 & 7 vocabulary and concepts
- Complete MAP Skills for tomorrow 
Wednesday 3/14:
- Read Theodore Roosevelt on Pearson for review for test selection tomorrow.
- Complete any assignments on MAP Skills not done thus far 
Friday 3/16:
- Complete Front Row
- Complete MAP Skills


3rd Grade
Monday 3/12:
- Log onto MAP Skills and complete missions for Reading, Vocabulary and Language Usage; due Wednesday 3/13
Tuesday 3/13:
- NY Progress questions 3 on p. 21 in NB due 3/15
- Complete MAP Skills for tomorrow
Wednesday 3/14:
- Study the Mysteries of the Rosary
- Complete any assignments on MAP Skills not done thus far
Friday 3/16:
- Complete Front Row
- Complete MAP Skills
- Complete p. 195 of RWJs not completed last night use text from Pearson
- Religion test on Mysteries of the Rosary pushed to Wednesday 3/25, study over the weekend
