RELIGION PROJECTS

RELIGION PROJECTS
Both, 2nd and 3rd graders were given a topic on Friday in religion class for their projects and we briefly discussed what was expected. All information should be presented on a tri-fold board. Pictures may be printed and used for demonstration. Information may be typed and glued or handwritten on the board. This is the time to get very creative with your board to present the information on your topics.
ALL PROJECTS ARE DUE MONDAY, JANUARY 29th

2nd Grade:
*Parents please check your child’s notebook as they wrote the topics in Friday’s notes*
For students who were assigned one of the Ten Commandments, the following questions should be answered on their boards:
  • Name the commandment given and it’s number.
  • What does the commandment mean?
  • How does the commandment apply to you as a child?
  • How does the commandment affect you as a child?
  • What can you do to follow the commandment?
  • What can you advise to other children your age on how to follow the commandment?
For students who were assigned a sacrament, the following questions should be answered on their boards:
  • Name your sacrament and the type of sacrament it is.
  • What is the significance of the sacrament (why do we celebrate it)?
  • What is done during the sacrament? (any special procedures?)
  • What is used during or for the sacrament?
  • Why are they used?
  • When is the sacrament done? (what time during your life?)
3rd Grade:
All the students in the 3rd grade were assigned the Liturgical Year. Each child is to discuss Ordinary Time as well as one other season assigned to them in class. The following information is to be found on their boards:
  • The meaning of Liturgical Year/Calendar
  • The name of the season assigned
  • Timeframe of the season?
  • What is done to prepare for that season?
  • What is celebrated during that season?
  • How does your family prepare and celebrate the season?
  • Students should also explain what is Ordinary Time.
  • When does the Church practice it?
