November 12th - 16th

REMINDERS
*Please continue to donate canned food; our yearly food drive aims to help those less fortunate, thanks.

*Monday, 11-12: School is closed - Veteran's Day.

*Thursday, 11-15: Native American Music/Thanksgiving Presentation @ 9:00 am in the lunchroom; parents are welcomed to join.

*Friday, 11-16: Report Card Assembly @ 1:30 pm in the lunchroom; parents are welcomed to join.

*Parent Teacher Conferences are next Tuesday, Nov. 20th from 3:00 - 8:00 pm sharp. Children will be dismissed @ 12 noon.

THIS WEEK IN CLASS
Lessons: 2nd Grade continues to read Friends Around the World; continues to learn about natural resources; begins to learn about matter; and begins to explore what Advent is.

Lessons: 3rd Grade begins to read a new text, The Moon Seems to Change; presents their projects about saints, and explores the beginning of the Church. 

Lessons: 4th Grade presents their project about saints and learns about the theological virtues. 

HOMEWORK
Tuesday 11-13
2nd Grade:
*Bring in canned food for the poor.
*Complete reading logs.
*Unit 1 Module A vocabulary test were given back today; please check, sign and make corrections with your child on the loose-leaf provided. Each item that was incorrect must be written on the loose-leaf correctly - hand in with test tomorrow.
*Voyages p. 55
*Students that did not complete social studies vocabulary should complete for HW; they are found in the link at the top, left side of the blog.

*Begin to do research and work on your Native American projects.
*Complete Native American assignments on Freckle by Wednesday, 11-14
*Complete Matter assignments on Freckle by Friday, 11-16

3rd Grade:
*Complete reading logs.


Wednesday 11-14

2nd Grade:
*Children may dress up tomorrow for their presentation.
*Bring in canned food for the poor.
*Complete reading logs.
*Copy reading vocabulary words into NB; then complete sentences on the RWJ p.50 (frozen & caribou)
*Copy science vocabulary into NB.
*Social studies test was given back today; review, sign and hand back in tomorrow

*Do research and work on your Native American projects.
*Complete Matter assignments on Freckle by Friday, 11-16

3rd Grade:
*Complete reading logs.


Thursday 11-15
2nd Grade:

*Students may not dress down tomorrow. School uniforms are to be worn; no exceptions.
*Bring in canned food for the poor.
*Complete reading logs.

*Do research and work on your Native American projects.
*Complete Matter assignments on Freckle for tomorrow

3rd Grade:
*End of Unit 1 Module A Vocabulary test were sent back today; please review, sign and send back tomorrow. Students must make corrections on loose-leaf, writing everything out that was wrong correctly and attach it to their test.
