2nd Grade Native American Projects

Project is due Monday, November 19, 2018.

You will research your chosen tribe and become an expert on their way of life. You will research and learn about the tribe’s clothing, housing, geographic location and other interesting facts. All of your research will be presented to the class.

You are to imagine that you were a member of the tribe you have chosen and talk about your tribe. All information that is gathered is to be nicely displayed on a tri-fold board (they may be purchased at staples or in the supply room from Ms. Resto). Your information may be handwritten or typed; get as creative as you want!

The following questions must be displayed and answered on your board in a paragraph:

1. Where did this tribe live? (region/territory)

2. What type of clothing did the tribe members wear? Describe it.

3. What work did the men do? The women do? The children do?

4. What kind of food did they eat?

5. What kind of house did they live in? How did they build them?

6. What was their music like?

7. What religion did this tribe follow?

8. Were there any special ceremonies this tribe conducted? Describe them.

9. A list of any other interesting facts that you may want to speak about and present to your class can also be provided (optional).
Below is an example of how you can format your board:
