September 30th - October 4th

REMINDERS
  • First Pearson test for 3rd grade this week on Tuesday, Oct. 1st
  • Last week's vocabulary quizzes for all grades will be sent home this week to sign; corrections are to be made on loose-leaf and signed as well
  • Friday, October 4 is the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, parents are welcomed to attend Mass with us at 9:00 AM; students with pets can bring them in to be blessed, but cats and dogs must go home right after
  • Friday, October 4th is also a half day schedule and dismissal is early at 12 noon, after school program is in session if needed
  • Parents I ask that you continue to reinforce classroom and school rules with your children to ensure that they are focused throughout the day and complete work in a timely manner
  • Progress Reports will be sent home on Friday, October 11th
LESSONS
Students will continue to read their assigned books in class and work on understanding characters' responses, points of view, and story structure.

HOMEWORK
Monday, Sept. 30th
Grades 2 - 5
-Vocabulary quizzes were sent home today, please review with your child, sign & return. Corrections are to be made on loose-leaf, each wrong item is to be written 3 times each with the correct answer, parents are to sign the corrections as well.
-Students who have not covered their workbooks are to do so by Wednesday, students who don't have them in by Wednesday will stay in during lunch.

3rd Grade Only
-Test tomorrow on Pearson for the text Location, Location, Location.

Tuesday, Oct. 1st
Students are allowed to wear shorts tomorrow as it will be the last hot day before Autumn finally begins to take its course. Shorts must be knee length. 

Grades 2, 4, & 5
-Copy new vocabulary words into the notebooks.

-Students should begin to study them as their next vocabulary quiz is next week.

4th Grade
Voyages p. 11 #1-15 is to be done on loose-leaf

5th Grade
Read chapters 4 & 5 of Night of The Spadefoot Toads

Wednesday, Oct. 2nd
On Friday, ALL students are to wear full dress uniform as we will have media join us at Mass for the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi
