September 16th - 20th

REMINDERS

-2nd grade students should wear their gym uniform on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.

-Students are to be physically present with the class by 8:00 AM, students who arrive after will be marked down as late, attendance is take in church during morning prayers.

MAP Testing is this week and the Schedule is as follows:
*Tuesday, 9/17 grades 2 - 8 Math
*Wednesday, 9/18 grades 2 - 8 Reading
*Thursday, 9/19 grades 3 - 8 English Language Arts (Grammar)
*Any student who is absent during testing days will make up the test next week.

-Next Monday, 9/23 dismissal is at 12 noon; after school is in session if needed.

This week students will take the fall MAP test to show their strengths and weaknesses. They will also continue to work on sentence structure; nouns, plurals, simple and compound subjects, subject and predicate.

2nd Grade

-A form for a vision program has been sent home in the homework folder, please read it carefully & only sign and return if you DO NOT want your child to take part.

-Parents please ask your child if they are allowed to wear play clothes tomorrow; I ask that you remind your child of classroom and school rules to ensure that they are focused. A reminder that wearing play clothes on Fridays is an incentive for good behavior throughout the school week and therefore play clothes is earned at the end of the week.

-All three (3) grammar worksheets will be collected tomorrow.
