REMINDERS
*Monday, 9/23 - Half Day, Dismissal is at 12 noon; after school is in session if needed*Vocabulary quiz for grades 2 - 5 this week on Friday, 9/27
*GYM days are Mondays, Tuesdays, & Thursdays
*Parents, I ask that you remind children of classroom and school rules to ensure that they are focused and their work gets done in a timely manner
*Parents should be checking each teacher's blog daily for homework assignments and announcements
(I have linked their blogs on the top left side of mine to make the process easy as possible as I know that parents, just as students are still transitioning into having multiple teachers this year)
LESSONS
Students have begun to read their first books in the Pearson ReadyGen program. Each grade is to bring their reading books to class daily. Topics for this week include character response, story structure, sequence of events, using details to provide in depth explanations, and speaker's point of view.
