October 28th - November 1st

REMINDERS

  • Students in grades 2-4 will be taking tests in Pearson this week on Tuesday, 10/29
  • 8th grade students will be having a bake sale on Halloween, 10/31 - please send students with money to support their efforts
  • Students will participate in giving the younger children candy during the parade, all students should come in with a bag of candy to hand out
  • Children may wear their costumes to school; no swords or any type of weapons that are part of children´s costumes are allowed in school - leave them at home
  • Pizza party will occur during lunch time, $3 will be collected by Wednesday, 10/30
  • Students should bring in to share with the class: Tables 1 & 4 - juice boxes or bottled water; Tables 2 & 3 - chips, cookies, or cupcakes
  • Feast of All Saints Day will be celebrated on Friday; Mass will be at 9:00 AM - parents are welcome to join us

LESSONS
Students this week will:
  1. Begin to read new books from the Pearson ReadyGen reading program
  2. Take test on Pearson
  3. Work on independent writing

HOMEWORK
Monday 10/28
*Grades 2-4 have Pearson Test tomorrow

* Grades 3 & 5 were given their quizzes back today, parents are to sign both quiz and corrections. Corrections are to be written on loose-leaf 3 times each.

*4th grade complete p. 16 of Voyages workbook on loose-leaf 

*5th grade is to complete their first draft on the story they are writing about the Overtoad, focusing on setting and the influence it had.


Tuesday 10/29
* Grades 2 & 4 were given their quizzes back today, parents are to sign both quiz and corrections. Corrections are to be written on loose-leaf 3 times each.

*3rd is to finish classwork; pg. 14 #1-4, 9-10 & pg. 15 #1-5 of voyages workbook

*5th grade complete questions on pg. 20 begin to ready ch. 14 & 15

Wednesday 10/30
*Readers for Mass are to practice their readings.

*Grade 5 complete p. 25 of RWJ #1-6; use chapter 16 to help you answer the questions.
